The local DFO branch has been invaluable to the progress of the Corduroy Brook Project. They have provided advice and input on how the CBEA could make improvements to the brook that would enrich the habitat for fish and other aquatic inhabitants. DFO also provided funding for the development, purchase, and installation of interpretative signage to educate trail users and to add to trail infrastructure.
In fact the Department of Fisheries were one of the initial funding partners in the Corduroy Brook Project through a Habitat Improvement and Demonstration Project.
