A relaxing wilderness experience for all ages

Nature Camp Program

One of the association's proudest accomplishments has been the development of our summer nature camp program for children. The camp was first run as a pilot project in 2002, and has since grown into a huge hit with local youngsters attracting over 100 participants annually.

The Corduroy Brook Nature Camp Program combines fun games and activities with lessons in nature and the environment. The camps are open to children aged 4-11, and a new camp begins Mondays of each week during the months of July and August.

The camps are run under the direction of our Executive Director along with post secondary students hired through the Canada Summer Jobs Program, delivered by Service Canada.

The camp is a fun and exciting way for children to learn about the great outdoors, to get exercise, and to meet new friends. The camps are designed to be fun first, with educational themes slipped in along the way.
