As a non-profit organization, fundraising is essential to the sustainability of the Corduroy Brook Nature Centre and Trail. The Bench Sponsorship programs allow businesses and individuals to promote their organization or memorialize a loved one, while supporting the trail.

Intended as rest stops for trail users, benches have been constructed and placed throughout the Corduroy Brook Nature Trail. It was determined that the benches provide an excellent opportunity for exposure as it relates to the business community. Benches fitted with plaques detailing the donor’s information are situated at key points along the trail. Sponsored benches require a $100 donation annually.

In Memoriam Bench

Related but a separate program, the In Memoriam Bench gives individuals an opportunity to remember a loved one. Fitted with a plaque and located along the trail, memoriam benches require a one-time donation of $500.
