What began as a modest idea to have a day of fun in the snow for local families, has rapidly grown into one of the biggest events held annually during the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor’s Winterlude festivities.

Held in the Corduroy Pond/Gibson’s Field area of the Corduroy Brook Trail System, the annual “Family Fun Day at Corduroy Pond” attracts hundreds of local residents for a day of sledding, ice skating, and marshmallow and wiener roasting.

Thanks to volunteers and community supporters the association is able to provide beverages and food for free. It is not uncommon to see 500-700 people take part in the Annual Fun Day. The event takes place each year around the middle of February.
